Are you coming into the kitchen mam?
For a cup of tea the girls would say
Then one cigarette would lead to another
One hour would end up all day

Then the days shopping in kilburn
Especially when jean was in town
It always took your mind of things
When you were feeling a little bit down

You loved to have a game of cards
We'd play long into the night
And more than once we'd still be there
Playing noms in broad daylight

Your illness never held you back
You kept strong all of the way
They were times when things got really tough
But you never once complained

Now we are all lost we don't know what to do
And your house is just not the same
And the only comfort that we can take
Mam is that you are finally free from pain

Forever in our hearts mam
Your loving sons and daughters
Ann,Gill,Sean,Mark,Thomas,Maureen,
Angie,Christine,Paul,Kevin,Jimmy
And your grandchildren
And great grandchildren

xXx Sorry for your loss xXx

I know what it feels like to lose your mum. This poem is for you:

If Roses grow in Heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Mother's arms
and tell her they're from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there's an ache within my heart
that will never go away.
